Printpack's Graphic Services team seeks a qualified candidate to fill the full-time Corporate Production Artist I or II in Atlanta, Georgia.

This position’s primary function involves taking designer-supplied electronic graphics and making them ready for plating files. The candidate must be able to communicate effectively, be detail-oriented, and demonstrate great attention to quality. Must have a bias for continuous improvement. Flexo-izing continuous tone images, application of color theory, and extended gamut separation knowledge are a plus.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 5-7 years of electronic assembly experience for flexographic and gravure printing
  • College/University degree is preferred

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Execute systematic method for electronic file preparation
  • Understanding and execution of key digital stripping functions including; trapping (vector, raster and bitmap), bump and cut-back curve application, lpi, dpi, angles, dot shapes, HD screening application to optimize print reproduction on our presses.
  • Apply Extended Gamut prepress requirements to production files
  • Comprehension of plant graphic specifications and application to electronic artwork
  • Clearly comprehend written and verbal customer requirements

  • Adobe Illustrator CC
  • Esko’s Package software
  • Esko Automation Engine Pilot
  • Bitmap Viewer/ AE viewer
  • Various Deskpack plugins for Illustrator
  • Photoshop CC
