What we are looking for:

We are seeking an Operations Research Analyst SME for a Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract. This role will play a critical role in applying advanced analytical skills and operations research methodologies to solve complex operational challenges. The ideal candidate has the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, develop models, and implement solutions that enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

What you will do as an Operations Research Analyst SME: 

  • Lead the application of operations research methodologies to address and solve complex problems within the organization.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and develop models that optimize operational workflows.
  • Apply User Experience (UX) and Customer Experience (CX) concepts to improve process workflows and ensure user-centered operations.
  • Analyze data to identify areas for operational or structural modifications and recommend optimal courses of action for improvements.
  • Utilize advanced analytical tools to interpret data and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Develop and present executive-level briefings that articulate the problem, key considerations, recommended courses of action, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Provide strategic insights to ensure solutions are aligned with organizational goals, driving efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and a focus on solving significant, current operational problems.

Qualifications:

  • US Citizen (the nature of our contract requires employees be US citizens)
  • Top Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • At least 10 years of experience.
  • Proven expertise in applying operations research methodologies to optimize complex processes.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with the capacity to understand the big picture and provide strategic insights.
  • Proficiency in advanced analytical tools and techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience in applying UX/CX principles to enhance operational workflows.
  • Ability to communicate complex data and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leadership and executives.
  • Strong collaboration skills and experience working in cross-functional teams.

$100,000$150,000 USD
