What we need 

The Sourcing Data Analytics Manager will support the collation, retention, building, and reporting of sourcing and supply base data, metrics, costs, and statistics. This data will optimize Symbotic’s position in terms of quality, cycle/response time, technology, risk, business continuity, and total cost. You will partner cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Finance, and Quality, to create visibility of business metrics for critical input for sourcing strategies, cost management, risk mitigation, and business continuity. Experience with leveraging technology and dashboards to drive visibility and collaboration across the enterprise in support of purchase to reduce the overall cost of ownership is preferred. You will lead programs focused on refining and defining supply cost data to support financial supply chain objectives related to cost targets

  

What we do 

The Sourcing Data Analytics Manager will play a critical role within our Supply Chain organization. Our global sourcing, procurement and third-party supplier team develop innovative category management strategies in collaboration with the business. The team focuses on strategic third-party partner agreements and help support supplier relationship management, commercial and financial pricing models for overall supplier performance. 

 

What you’ll do 

  • Develop and implement data architecture designs, models, strategies and/or processes to improve the business. 
  • Develop, implement, and optimize queries for applications and business intelligence reporting. 
  • Use SQL, Power BI, and other relevant tools to create reports, dashboards, and visualizations; aggregate/model data to build reports in the Microsoft Power suite. 
  • Identify the best data sources for a given analysis and analyze data to help improve business performance. 
  • Develop processes for data mining, data modeling, and data production. 
  • Offer insights and recommendations to improve data reliability and quality. 
  • Execute operationally complex data, analytics, and cost projects and programs linked to above goals. 
  • Partner closely with finance and IT for alignment on core data while leading supply chain as the financial data expert for supply inputs, outputs, analytics, source, statistics, and business intelligence. 
  • Identify, develop, and lead use of appropriate tools and programs for supplier performance measurements (KPIs) and metrics to track and report out sourcing performance. 
  • Develop, inspect, mine, transform, and model data to raise productivity, improve decision making, and gain competitive advantage. 
  • Own roadmap for analysis, then conduct statistical analysis on data and information to ensure correct predictive forecasting, classifications, risk, and supply management performance. 
  • Manage all aspects of end-to-end data processing utilizing customized report building functions of systems. 
  • Maintain analytical systems, verify the accuracy of the data, and act as a liaison to the business. 
  • Coordinate and integrate the flow of information across suppliers, manufacturers, distributors, and customers. 
  • Recognized as expert, managing large projects or processes.  
  • Exercises considerable latitude in determining deliverables of assignments, with limited oversight from manager.  

What you’ll need 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Operations Management, or related field; Master's degree Preferred  

  • Minimum of 8 years of Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Category Management, or Engineering  

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics, Data Visualization, and Data Warehousing. 

  • Minimum 5 years of experience reviewing and writing Technical & Business Requirements in relation to Business Intelligence, Data Management or Software Development projects. 

  • Strong ability to build and run complex SQL queries. 

  • Experience working with data cleaning and standardizing processes including data mining, mathematical and predictive modeling, and statistical analysis skills. 

  • Demonstrated sourcing analytics skills in a complex multiple suppliers, multiple tiers environment 

  • Technical proficiency of best practices in procurement analytics and business intelligence. 

  • Strong process orientation and detail orientation including solid understanding of project management methodologies and best practices. 

  • Strong mastery of the MS Office suite of products including Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate.  

  • Strong experience and understanding of SAP and SAP reporting. 

  • Experience in data quality and data governance. 

  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem solving, organizational and time management skills. 

  • Strong initiative and ability to meet deadlines. 

  • Ability to be flexible and to manage multiple projects in an organized and timely manner. 

  • Ability to innovate and effectively deal with rapid change positively.
