Job Description:

Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position.  Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.

Responsible for developing framework and standards for Risk Control Self-Assessment. Partners with first, second-, and third-line stakeholders to ensure consistent implementation of RCSA standards. Monitors and reports on the risk and control environment for the business. Develops and coach’s teams to be able to identify, manage, and escalate risk, and effectively manages risk within the teams you oversee.

Responsibilities

· Monitors and reports on risks and controls. Determines requirements for corrective action plans. Monitors and reports close out actions for RCSA and self-identified issues.

· Develops the framework for, and executes on, dynamic and sustainable risk and control assessments. Develops sustainable approaches for inherent risk identification and assessment.

· Identifies requirements to troubleshoot and upgrade tools. Implements RCSA framework elements and performs user-acceptance testing.

· Develops the framework and standards for identifying and documenting risks and controls across the lines of defense.

· Manages a team including hiring, performance, and development decisions.

Minimum Qualifications

At a minimum, here’s what we need from you:

· Bachelor’s degree in business and management, Engineering, Mathematics, Information Technology, or related field.

· 8+ years of experience, advanced knowledge in risks and controls, RCSA and operational risk management theories and methods as well as related risk frameworks (credit, market, etc.), and risk management practices

· Experience in roles requiring product and process management, implementation of governance and controls, and operational risk management oversight

Preferred Qualifications

Compensation:

The base pay for this position generally ranges between $103,000.00 to $174,200.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
