Flynn Group of Companies is currently looking for a Glazing and Architectural Metals Drafting Technician to support our Winnipeg Branch.

A Day in the Life:
· Design and draft detailed drawings for architectural approval, shop fabrication & field installations
· Create custom designs as required for architectural approval
· Provide complete fabrication drawings and bills of materials for each job
· Utilize all forms of architectural metals and/or curtain wall that Flynn offers to its customers
· Provide technical support on projects
· Review and verify all CAD work conform to applicable codes, standards, specification and project requirements
· Collaborate with project manager and engineer to develop scope, schedule and outline technical clarifications/exceptions as necessary
· Review drawing submissions for accuracy
· Provides staff support and technical guidance for projects as required
What you bring:
· Minimum 2-5 years direct industry experience in (ICI) Construction required
· Experience in design / drafting of glazing systems, curtainwall or architectural metals req’d
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Solid construction knowledge base with emphasis on Building Envelope Design
· Strong time management skills to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
· Ability to work independently and in a team environment
· Strong PC skills in MS Office
· Must be organized and self-motivated
· Strong mathematical skills are an asset
