Job Description
The Medical Assistant (MA) functions in a clinical and administrative support role to assist the health care professional to ensure the delivery of quality health care services.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Minimum: Certified/Registered Medical Assistant, Paramedic. Must maintain license/certification.
Work Experience:
Minimum: One year recent, relevant experience

Clinical Skills

Provide safe patient care
Report facts with accuracy, follow instructions, and complete assignments independently
Collect patient assessment data pertaining to the physical, psychological, social, spiritual, and learning needs of the patient utilizing effective communication skills
Provide patient care, direct and indirect, under the supervision of the RN and in accordance with the practice standards
Follow appropriate standards, policies and procedures to provide optimal patient care
Perform efficiently in emergency situations following established standards, remaining calm, informing appropriate persons, and documenting events
Facilitate effective working relationships/communications with all members of health team to promote a consistent and efficient continuum of patient care.
