The Finance Manager – Supply Chain Projects partners with the Global Supply Chain Function to support analysis and implementation of long term strategy projects, new programes, initiatives and implementations.

This includes overseeing the development of financial business cases, working with cross function partners to implement new systems & ways of working, and partnering with markets to monitor and steer locally managed projects.

From time to time, the incumbent will also work on ad hoc analysis and projects to provided insightful analysis for decision-making by the senior management function in Dyson

The role has good exposure to the Dyson Global Supply Chain Functions and allows the incumbent a great opportunity to develop a thorough understanding of Dyson Supply Chain Operations Business.

The role reports into that Head of Supply Chain Finance.

• • Develop reporting and cadence on global and regional projects. Be the lead finance project member across multiple key global programmes.
  • Partner with Global Supply Chain Team to review current fulfilment network and provide recommendation on the optimal footprint with best customers experience at the right cost
  • Participate in vendor selection process in RFQ to achieve cost savings
  • Work closely with Operations finance to develop and drive supply chain end-to-end cost optimisation
  • Being finance representation for Supply Chain Transformation project
  • Benchmark analysis vs. external competitors to identify opportunity areas
  • Manage the control environment for inventory and develop best practices
  • Prepare ad hoc analysis to support new and existing initiatives
  • Trusted business partner to Supply Chain teams. Influence a wide variety of cross functional and senior stakeholders.
  • Review of key processes to drive process improvements

Skills

• Qualified finance professional or equivalent post graduate qualification.
• At least 7 to 8 years of relevant work experience
• Experience in project management, supply chain and/or strategy experience
• Excellent analytical ability and Excel spreadsheet skills
• Good planning and organisation skills
• Ability to understand concepts and ideas quickly and model data in meaningful ways
• Naturally Inquisitive - comfortable and willing to interrogate existing process and systems
• Proactive in proposing ideas to challenge status quo
• Excellent personal and business presentation skills, in particular the presentation of financial information to non-finance managers and directors
• Assertive and able to influence upwards and across functions
• Good spoken & written English
• Has strong sense of operational discipline and ability to meet tight deadlines
