Responsible for preparation and tracking of bids as they pertain to Professional customer level contractual business opportunities. Works closely with the Senior Professional Customer Bid Analyst in support of their duties. Provides support to field management in all areas related to Professional Customer Bids.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Maintain State Agency contract reporting.

Responsible for tracking maintenance fees, and submitting request for payment(s).

Maintain monthly field management reporting on bid customers.

Use online tools to identify and analyze opportunities to participate in upcoming bid processes.

Monitor performance of current bids and customer groups.

Participate in all aspects of new bids and bid completion, including, but not limited to: RFPs, RFIs, RFBs, RFQs, mailing, tracking, and follow up including field communication/notification, renewals, filing and reporting.

Maintain tracking programs with vendors, including adjusting account specific discounts and completing internal and external reporting.

Direct purchase order numbers for key accounts to appropriate management to be addressed.

Communicate bid awards to appropriate field management.

Work closely with Pricing department to identify opportunities in margin growth

Complete daily bids for assigned accounts

Professional Bids mailbox administration

Post information to company intranet site.

Track changes in customer buying habits.

Attend company meetings and training as required.

Provide information as needed to the Professional Sales team in regards to bids.

Assist in all Pricing Department areas or functions when necessary.

SKILLS/EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

REQUIRED

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum of 1 -year experience in the automotive aftermarket or equivalent related work experience.

Proficient with Microsoft Office.

Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

Ability to manage workload consisting of multiple tasks and frequent deadlines.

Excellent documentation, communication, time management and organizational skills.

Must work well in team environment.

Attention to detail, self-starter and ability to learn independently.

DESIRED

Self-motivated to a high level of achievement, excellent written/verbal communicator, analytical and able to make/recommend decisions in the best interest of O’Reilly and the customer.

Experience reviewing city, state & government contracts.

Knowledge of government purchasing and/or contractual review.

Bachelor’s Degree or above in Business, Marketing or other related fields.

Committed to any additional training as necessary.

Advanced analytical skill set to evaluate and analyze current bid processes and opportunities.
