About APM Terminals Pipavav

APM Terminals Pipavav, located in Gujarat, is one of India’s leading gateway ports offering integrated logistics and terminal services. With excellent connectivity to the hinterland, Pipavav plays a vital role in strengthening India’s trade ecosystem. The terminal is known for its operational efficiency, customer-first approach, and strong focus on safety and sustainability.

Qualification: CA/CA intermediate/ B.Com or M.Com with experience in Indian taxation (Direct Tax, Transfer Pricing and GST) and working knowledge of FEMA

Experince: At least 4 to 7 years

Key responsibilities include:

  • Indirect Tax (GST):
    • Monthly GST return filings
    • Reconciliations of input tax credit
    • Continuous follow-up with vendors for correction of returns to ensure ITC eligibility
    • Ongoing compliance monitoring and documentation
  • Direct Tax:
    • Monthly advance tax payments
    • Quarterly TDS return filings
    • Annual income tax computation and return filing
    • Transfer Pricing documentation and studies
    • Follow-up for tax refunds

Additionally, the role involves:

  • Local bank interactions for Bank Guarantee matters, interest rates, foreign exchange currency for employee travels, port insurance premiums
  • Export Promotion Scheme compliances
  • FEMA-related compliances
  • Coordination with auditors and consultants on above

The Global ERP system cannot be fully customized to address all statutory tax filing and compliance requirements. Therefore, dedicated tax expertise is essential to manage manual processes, reconciliations, and statutory submissions. Given the technical nature and regulatory sensitivity of this position, it requires a full-time employee with strong knowledge of Indian tax laws and a thorough understanding of the regulatory environment.
