NVIDIA is searching for a highly motivated, creative senior firmware engineer to join the GPU Software team. As a senior SOC firmware engineer, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and debugging firmware for Nvidia SOC platforms. You will work closely with the hardware, software, and security teams to deliver high-quality and robust firmware that meets our customers' needs and expectations.
What you will be doing:
Develop and maintain firmware boot loaders, firmware packaging tools, and firmware debugging tools for SOC products.
Optimize firmware performance, reliability, security, and compatibility across different platforms and devices.
Debug and tackle firmware issues using various tools and methods, such as JTAG, UART, logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
Support firmware integration, testing, and validation activities.
Document firmware design, specifications, and test plans.
Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior firmware engineers.
What we need to see:
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of relevant firmware development for embedded systems, preferably for SOC products.
PC system experience with the industry/ecosystem.
Proven understanding of firmware boot processes, firmware packaging formats, and firmware security mechanisms.
Proficient in C/C++, assembly languages, and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, etc.
Experience with implementing FW securely, and ability to use FW security tools (Coverity, fuzzing, etc.)
Ability to learn new technologies and adapt to changing requirements.
Work independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

The base salary range is 148,000 USD - 276,000 USD. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. NVIDIA accepts applications on an ongoing basis.
