Core to the role will be the ability to exchange and analyse data related to tax processes and ensure timely completion of key tasks, whilst identifying and evaluating opportunities to simplify or improve processes (e.g. through use of software tools).
The role will work closely with the team’s tax specialists, as well as working directly with the leads for product and corporate taxes to support the Head of European Tax. The role will play a key part in supporting European and US business partners and interact with multiple service providers.
The role will be based in Dublin and will report into the Product Taxes Lead for Europe, who is based in London.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support in the oversight of core tax compliance and reporting deliverables, including the data sharing, process monitoring and service provider management (including KPI management).
Responding to day to day queries from the business in relation to the reporting currently in place, understanding the process for such reporting, clarifying data management queries and providing support to key business partners.
Support the calculation, payment and monitoring of tax payments for the European corporate entities, branches and funds.
Oversight, and support in calculation and automation of tax metrics, and other tax data requests to support business partners (e.g. Distribution, Portfolio Review Department, Finance).
Support management of employment taxes and crew related tax items, including analysis of employee expense and travel data.
Support UK Research and Development tax credits process.
General team support:
Maintain and update policies and procedures.
Maintain and develop the Europe Tax SharePoint site to support business needs.
Participate in ad hoc projects across Europe Tax and performs other duties as assigned.
Experience:
Undergraduate degree preferred, or equivalent combination of training and experience
Strong in spreadsheet and word processing software (Microsoft Office) and ability to become proficient in other software tools (e.g. Power bi, Oracle Analytics, service provider tax tools)
