What you will do at SmithRx:
- Evolve and mature cash application and collection processes with automation.
- Establish AR aging and DSO goals and track progress.
- Lead the maintenance and reconciliation of the AR and revenue cycle accounts, financial statement review, and reporting on a monthly basis along with other month-end close activities.
- Prepare analysis of financial and operational metrics, U.S. GAAP reporting, management reporting, and other compliance reporting.
- Manage relationships with customers and partners while addressing customer billing issues and questions.
- Serve as a subject-matter expert on revenue recognition and related accounting policies under ASC 606, providing business support on their interpretation and application.
- Research accounting issues, perform technical accounting analyses, and implement new accounting guidance.
- Assist with the annual financial statement audit as well as tax and regulatory filings as needed.
- Lead strategic financial projects including implementation of new accounting systems and tools.
- Identify, develop, and implement procedural and system changes to increase accuracy, efficiency and controls.
What you will bring to SmithRx:
- 8+ years of combined Public and Private company experience in revenue and AR operations.
- Startup experience, where you thrived in a fast-paced environment, is a plus.
- Experience in healthcare or similar industry knowledge is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Working knowledge of ASC 606.
- Possesses strong written and verbal communications skills with the ability to articulate complex subject matter to senior leaders and non-technical stakeholders.
- High attention to detail with excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Proficient with key financial tools and ERP systems (Sage Intacct preferred) as well as Microsoft Office (Excel).
- Licensed CPA, or CPA licensure in progress.
