The Disney International Labor Standards (ILS) Program oversees labor standards compliance across the vast supply chain for Disney-branded consumer products. The Program establishes for licensees and vendors to monitor their supply chains for compliance with relevant labor law and the labor provisions of Disney’s Supply Chain Code of Conduct, specifies where products may be produced, provides for review of social compliance audit reports and the issuance of corrective action plans to promote improvement in working conditions, and facilitates supply chain labor-related training.
The Manager, Audit Analysis, reports to the Sr. Manager, Global Audit Operations, and is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Audit Analysis team, which comprises 17 professional staff, as well as an external team based in the Philippines. These individuals are tasked with analyzing facility audit results (or equivalent) and carrying out other audit review-related functions. The position includes supervision of three direct reports, who act as people managers.
The Audit Analysis team is responsible for the determination of audit acceptance and the assessment of the audit results in accordance with ILS Program policies. In addition, the Audit Analysis team supports the related activities contributing toward continuous improvement in program policies and operational standards pertaining to the acceptance and assessment of ILS Audits.
This role requires strong work ethic with uncompromising integrity; a high level of working knowledge in the social compliance field; strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in an international business setting; ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities while achieving high level results.
Responsibilities
• Identifying and seizing opportunities for continuous process improvement
• Developing, updating, and executing ILS operational policies and procedures
• Fostering a culture of learning and development within the team
• Providing technical guidance to the team and other ILS teams as necessary.
• Adapting departmental plans and priorities to address resource allocation and operational challenges.
• Balancing and maintaining the workload of the team and other service centers to optimize capacity.
• Acting as a thought partner and subject matter expert in support of the ILS Leadership Team
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of work experience, with at least 3-5 years in a progressive managerial role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs – Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word.
• Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills, and ability for identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, with experience in managing both direct and indirect reports.
• Effective communication skills in an international business setting where English is the primary language.
Preferred Qualifications
• Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management or Business Management.
• At least 4 years of experience in managing processes and lead-ing a large team of 10 or more professional and international staff.
• Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
