Job Description:

Data Exposure Analyst will provide capacity and capabilities to deliver on modeling service scope. The analyst role is primarily responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data related to insurance policies, claims, and customer profiles. This role involves using statistical tools to identify trends and patterns, developing predictive models, and providing insights to improve business operations and risk management. The CAT exposure Data Analyst/Sr Analyst is responsible for analyzing and modeling insurance exposure related to Natural disasters.

The position supports a US-based company and requires collaboration across time zones.

Job Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2- 4 Years experience within Data Analytics & Property Insurance
  • Technical skills needed such as proficiency in statistical tools and software.
  • Attention to detail-strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to interpret complex data sets.
  • Preferably Degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Insurance
  • Experience with Commercial Building designs. GIS Experience, SQL & VBA.
  • Past work interpreting policy structures & application to exposure data
  • Team collaboration, ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including remote teams in different time zones and globally distributed.

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

  • Cleansing, validating and preparing exposure data (excel expert).
  • Good knowledge of property insurance for various business lines.
  • Experience utilizing catastrophic risk modeling to access and qualify risk.
  • Experience with large data processing and automation adoption.
