What you'll be doing

  • Innovating in the Cloud: Utilize Infrastructure as Code (like Terraform) to build and optimize our cloud-based k8s environments.
  • Leading Architecture: Drive infrastructure architecture and service development within our R&D team, influencing key decisions and strategies.
  • Scaling Complex Services: Support and develop business services at an immense scale, ensuring they are robust and efficient.
  • Solving Critical Issues: Address and resolve production issues, tackling performance challenges to maintain system reliability.

What we're looking for

  • Proven Expertise: Extensive DevOps experience with a strong track record in building and maintaining scalable, high-performance systems in production, advanced knowledge of Linux OS and networking, and well-versed in DevOps best practices such as GitOps, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and shift-left methodologies.
  • Cloud Mastery: Demonstrated experience administering large-scale public or hybrid clouds, particularly AWS or GCP.
  • Kubernetes Specialist: Hands-on experience managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters in production.
  • Technology Familiarity: Familiarity with technologies like Kafka, Aerospike, Elasticsearch, Cassandra, ScyllaDB, Redis, and SingleStore.
  • Scripting/Code Skills: Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Go, combined with a strong understanding of the software development lifecycle and a proven track record of leading technical projects.

You might also have

  • Monitoring Expertise: Experience with monitoring and metrics systems such as Prometheus, Grafana, or VictoriaMetrics.
  • Kubernetes Mastery: Deep knowledge of Kubernetes control-plane, including lifecycle management with operators and controllers.
  • Advanced Networking: Proficient in advanced networking technologies such as Istio, service meshes, Layer 7 load balancing, and traffic shaping.
  • Multi-Cloud Efficiency: Expertise in managing multi-cloud production environments, with a deep understanding of auto-scaling technologies like Karpenter.
  • Architectural Knowledge: Solid understanding of the architecture of web applications and modern deployment practices.
