The Manager, Legal Finance, Technology & Analytics - Legal Operations role is instrumental in shaping and executing the overall strategy and ongoing maturity of our legal operations function. Core duties include the implementation and oversight of processes, systems, budgets, delivery standards, data and resources, while managing the daily operations of the legal financial, technical, and reporting functions.

A key responsibility is to identify and implement operational efficiencies to serve the needs of our internal clients and drive cost-effective operations. This role also oversees legal payments and law firm and legal service provider management, and collaborates with stakeholders to manage budgets and accruals, legal technology and resources, develops and monitors financial reports, performance standards, SLAs, escalations, and strategic initiatives and special projects.

The role requires a strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail, committed to streamlining operations and enhancing the efficiency and delivery model for our global legal department.

Role Responsibilities

  • Development and management of processes, systems, tools, metrics, analytics, SLAs, support, reports, quality assurance/escalations, analysis and optimization, training, resource development, procedures, etc.
  • Management and day-to day operations of legal budget, finance and accounting processes, payments, firm and provider management, RFP management, and intake/onboarding.
  • Oversight and management of Legal Department systems & resources.
  • General team and operations function related administration, planning, strategic initiatives and projects.

Role Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in managing various aspect s of legal department operations, budgets, legal systems, legal finance, legal payments, legal department processes, etc. Or relevant work experience, MBA or post graduate Finance & Accounting degree or certifications a highly desirable
  • 3+ years of management experience
  • 5+ years of demonstrated operations and technical knowledge and strong skills related to Legal Matter Management, Legal Tracker, Oracle, Legal Research Tools & Technology, System Administration, eDiscovery, Microsoft products; Word, Excel, Power Point, Visio, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SharePoint.

Salary

The annual gross base salary range is $93,750.00 – $135,000.00 USD per year. This role is also eligible to receive an annual bonus that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
