Job Description Qualifications:

Boeing Government Satellite Financial Integration team is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst in Colorado Springs, CO.

We're looking for a hands-on, results-oriented analyst to join our team supporting our ground segment for a government contract.  Ideal candidate will be able to work in a fast paced environment that has excellent collaboration and time management skills with an emphasis on prioritization.

In this role, you'll use your technical manufacturing background to estimate the cost of parts, assemblies, and installations. You'll also work with our finance and contracts teams to obtain best value with suppliers through boots on the ground supplier visits, suggesting manufacturing process improvements, internal negotiation strategy development and negotiation support. You will lead the development of defendable complex analyses and business cases in support of the pricing and estimating team as well as provide recommendations to our internal teams regarding any associated risk, finances and competition.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Initiates assignments and leads integration and analysis of resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) for control accounts, budgets, functions or pools; financial EACs for contracts or programs. Develops performance reports
  • Initiates assignments and leads integration of variance analyses and provides understanding of operational and financial performance to senior management.
  • Manages recommendations to senior management on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience
  • Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends.
  • Leads development of business cases using appropriate indices
  • Provides subject matter expertise to troubleshoot process and tool issues, determine root cause and recommend solutions
  • Leads DFARS Cost Type program with full standard Earned Value Reporting Requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Finance Accounting or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in a business-related function (including but not limited to: Finance, Contracts, Estimating, Procurement Financial Analysis, Business Operations, Supplier Management)
  • 3+ years of experience with the Microsoft Excel application using formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
  • 3+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and multiple levels of leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of experience presenting and communication data in Senior Leadership briefings
  • Experience using analytical, collaboration, communication, and organizational skills both virtually and in person
  • Experience performing variance analysis
  • Experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment
  • Experience working in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • Experience with one or more of the following financial systems: Cognos, Interactive Reporting Environment (IRE), Enterprise Analysis System (EAS), Cost Schedule Performance Reporting (CSPR), Enterprise Planning and Analysis System (EPAS)

Typical Education/Experience: 
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).
