Analog Devices, Inc. is looking for an Embedded Open-Source Software Intern to help build foundational microcontroller software that scales across diverse hardware platforms and enables customers to easily use our products. The successful candidate will be an open-source enthusiast with strong technical, problem solving, and communication skills. 

Responsibilities 

  • Develop embedded software for microcontroller-based platforms running real-time operating systems (RTOS). 

  • Develop reusable abstraction layers, embedded software components, build systems, and development tools that scale across diverse hardware platforms. 

  • Contribute to upstream open source communities such as Zephyr. 

  • Author technical documentation. 

Skills 

  • Coursework in embedded software development experience in C. 

  • Experience with ARM or RISC-V microcontroller architectures. 

  • Experience with Zephyr RTOS. 

  • Experience contributing to or using open source software projects. 

  • Understanding of software development tools and version control systems, including git. 

  • Experience debugging low-level drivers and hardware integration for interfaces such as I2C, SPI, UART, USB, and Ethernet. 

  • Strong problem solving and communication skills.
