About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Associate - Accounts payable (Maker). In this role the individual will be responsible for assisting in processing and recording of all accounts payable transactions from coordinating with vendors for invoices, verifying their completeness, matching with contracts to ensuring timely payments for the same while adhering to company policies and procedures. Further ensuring proper accounting for the same in the books of accounts.
What will you do:
- Assist in reviewing and verifying invoices for accuracy, completeness, and proper authorization.
- Enter invoice details into the accounting system accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure proper deduction of TDS, claiming of GST ITC & related compliances.
- Match invoices with purchase orders, contracts and ensure proper documentation.
- Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Assist in weekly & monthly payment batches for approval by senior accounts payable staff.
- Reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.Respond to vendor inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
- Support month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.
What are we looking for?
Must have:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Previous experience in accounting or finance. (preferably in CA office)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Proficient in using accounting software/systems (e.g., Oracle, QuickBooks, SAP) and MS Excel.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective customer interactions.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
