Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, resourceful, collaborative and experienced Vice President, Investor Relations to join our dynamic biotechnology company, reporting to the EVP & Chief Financial Officer. As a key member of our leadership team, working closely with the executive team, you will be responsible for developing, leading and executing strategic investor relations plans to effectively communicate our company’s value proposition and financial performance.

Essential Functions

  • Lead the investor relations function which will include developing and implementing comprehensive investor relations strategies, initiatives and programs

  • Mentor & Develop the investor relations team to support this strategy

  • Manage, organize and coordinate quarterly earnings and annual shareholder meetings

  • Organize and coordinate investor meetings, roadshows, and conferences, ensuring optimal participation and effectively communicating the company's investment value proposition.

  • Oversee the preparation and communication of quarterly earnings releases, investor presentations, annual reports, and other financial disclosures in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Coordination and Organization of investor outreach via conferences, company events and non-deal road shows

  • Establish a shareholder targeting plan and respond to inbound investor requests and coordinate timely and effective communication

  • Provide support to sell side analysts and establish a strategy to target new equity research coverage

  • Collaborate with executive leadership and external communications on corporate messaging

  • Coordinate updates to corporate presentations, quarterly earnings materials and Q&As

  • Manage the company investor relations website


Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, Experience, Licenses & Certifications

  • Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree required; Masters preferred

  • 20+ years working experience with a minimum of 15+ years relevant financial experience in investment banking, equity research, investor relations, consulting, corporate finance, or related fields

  • Understanding of capital markets

  • Knowledge of SEC and disclosure requirements

  • Exceptional oral and written communications and presentation skills (strong skills in PowerPoint)

  • A professional, outgoing personality with a high level of energy, a strong work ethic, resourcefulness, flexibility and discretion when handling confidential information

  • Excellent interpersonal skills; enthusiastic, team player and self-starter; commitment to excellence skills, excellent attention to detail and diligence in deadline-driven environment

  • Ability to manage diverse priorities with positive outcomes

  • Proven experience building and maintaining constructive relationships with analysts, shareholders, and institutional investors

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage with cross-functional teams
