$110,760 - $166,400 USD

Job Description:

The Senior Manager Control Management will be responsible for supporting CLOS, and other Core Operations Businesses with effective issues remediation, Exam, Audit, and other testing engagement completion, and other risk and control activities.  This role will lead a team of Business Line Liaisons to provided hands on support to operations business leaders.

Depth & Scope:

  • Provides people management leadership by hiring the best talent, setting goals, developing staff, managing succession planning, managing employee performance and promoting teamwork.
  • Develops, implements, and monitors strategic plans aligning to area of responsibility while providing direction, leadership and vision to ensure completion of goals and objectives are meet within prescribed timelines Is responsible for developing key 1A Control Management frameworks and processes and any relevant training or communications for areas within responsibility
  • Independently plan, chart, and execute against a course of action with limited instruction from leadership ensuring deliverables are achieved consistently
  • Responsible for identifying and timely escalating concerns as it relates to the management of work
  • Serves as a Subject Matter Expert on the control environment and management for for defined areas
  • Defines, designs, and supports effective control management practices across defined lines of business to ensure alignment with overall organizational strategy.
  • Assist the LOB in identifying process impacts and change requirements 
  • Leverages and partners in all three lines of defense to ensure a strong control environment
  • Challenges existing processes and controls and makes recommendations as necessary
  • Identifies risk and potential control failures, and makes recommendations to mitigate risk, ensuring the timely opening and remediation of self-identified findings
  • Provides relevant reporting areas within responsibility as well as providing any key risk insights to Shared Services Executive Leaders to tell a clear story of the state of the  operational area. Ensures alignment with customer expectations to deliver a WOW! Experience
  • Partners with Management to provide support as needed
  • Requires innovative thinking to develop broad scale solutions that will impact the end to end  control environment across line of business

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
  • 10+ years relevant Risk & Controls or Bank Operations experience
  • Strong leadership and general management skills in overseeing a team and working collaboratively across functions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Conceptual thinker, ability to wade through processes and data and arrive at conclusions
  • Strong team collaboration skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously
