Summary
We're seeking an exceptional engineer to design and build a next-generation AI-powered reservation engine leveraging constraint programming principle. This system will intelligently optimize resource allocation, handle complex booking scenarios, and deliver superior user experiences through advanced algorithmic decision-making.
General Job Responsibilities
Assist with design and implementation of a scalable reservation engine using constraint satisfaction problem (CSP) solvers and optimization algorithms
Develop AI models that learn from booking patterns, user preferences, and business rules to make intelligent allocation decisions.
Build constraint-based systems that handle complex scenarios like overbooking prevention, resource conflicts, and multi-dimensional availability.
Implement real-time optimization that balances competing constraints (availability, preferences, business rules, fairness)
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to translate business requirements into constraint models and optimization objectives
Assist in engineering high-performance systems capable of handling thousands of simultaneous reservation requests with sub-second response times
Attend meetings and contribute ideas to ongoing projects.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science
Rising or Current Senior at the time of application (Expected Graduation between December 2026 – May 2027).
Highly motivated/ driven. Takes a proactive approach to assignments with the ability to work independently.
Can successfully navigate through ambiguity by asking questions, thinking critically, and using problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work across different teams and functions.
Outstanding written skills – Ability to concisely document complex processes and concepts, through process maps and report writing.
Strong excel skills; a passion for learning systems and performing data analytics is a plus.
Well-developed organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint skills.
