About Cubist
Cubist Systematic Strategies is one of the world’s premier investment firms deploying systematic, computer-driven trading strategies across multiple liquid asset classes, including equities, futures, and foreign exchange. The core of our effort is rigorous research into a wide range of market anomalies, fueled by our unparalleled access to a wide range of publicly available data sources.
We are looking to add a Talent Acquisition Professional to our recruiting team. This person will contribute to the group’s growth by helping to identify and evaluate candidates to join our team as portfolio managers, researchers, and software developers. The ideal candidate will learn quickly and enjoy a high degree of autonomy in our fast paced, high engagement environment.
• Work with our existing talent acquisition team, candidates, and various groups across the firm to assist in the full life cycle of the recruitment process
• Work with Portfolio Management teams to generate job specifications and skills requirements to support their research efforts
• Manage relationships with a subset of our external recruitment firms
• Establish and maintain relationships with universities and student groups
• Assist in the standardization of interview evaluation summaries and creation of interview training materials
• Collaborate in developing new strategies for sourcing and evaluating potential candidates
• Survey the recruiting landscape to determine market trends and identification of talent
• Develop long term relationships with a range of talented individuals in the space
• Gather and outline objectives for each open position with the hiring manager to develop accurate job descriptions, qualifications and required skills; screen candidates; and help formulate offers
• An academic background in a quantitative discipline or coming from a related field
• A BS or MS in finance, statistics, engineering or computer science is preferred along with 3 years of work experience
• The ability to independently manage multiple long-term and short-term projects simultaneously
• Excellent interpersonal skills and “emotional intelligence”; we seek a demonstrated ability to build relationships both internally and externally
• Strong verbal communication skills, and the ability to perceive nuance in verbal interactions
• Strong written communication skills
• Commitment to the highest ethical standards
• Non-English language skills (especially Mandarin) are valuable but not a requirement
We invest in our people, their careers, their health, and their well-being. When you work here, we provide:
• Health care benefits
• Parental and family leave policies
• Mental and physical wellness programs
