Job Description:

Product Portfolio Manager (Program Manager)

This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office), 1-2 times per week. The Ideal candidate will live within 50 miles of one of our Elevance Health PulsePoint locations.

The CarelonRx Product Portfolio Manager (Program Manager) is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and management of the PBM's product portfolio. They play a crucial role in aligning the portfolio with the CarelonRx’s business goals and ensuring that the product offerings meet the needs of plan sponsors and members. A program manager may have responsibility for a piece of a larger enterprise/regional external client facing program.

How you will make an impact:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive product portfolio strategy aligned with the CarelonRx's business objectives.
  • Researches applicable subject matter practices and remains aware of industry trends.
  • Manages external client facing relationships and partners with corporate and regional business areas.
  • Collaborate with product owners to support business strategies and evaluate market trends, competitive landscape, and customer feedback to identify opportunities and gaps in the product portfolio.
  • Prioritize product initiatives based on strategic importance, ROI, and resource availability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and engineers, to monitor and govern portfolio initiatives through the stages of the product lifecycle management IDEATE, DEFINE, DEVELOP, LAUNCE & MANGE to ensure successful product development and launch.
  • Monitor the performance of products within the portfolio, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements or discontinuations.
  • Work closely with sales and marketing teams to support product positioning, pricing, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Provide regular portfolio performance reports and updates to senior leadership.
  • Coordinates training related to external client facing program; develops program success measures and performs periodic assessments of program success.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BA/BS and minimum of 5 years external client facing experience in program/project management; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:

  • Proven experience in product portfolio management, preferably within the healthcare or PBM industry.
  • Proficiency in project management and product lifecycle management tools (JIRA; Aha!) a plus.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills preferred.
  • Excellent leadership and communication abilities preferred.
  • Familiarity with healthcare regulations and industry dynamics preferred.
