Get to Know the Opportunity:
The Benefitfocus Administrative Services solution removes administrative work from Employer customers by providing solutions and management of ACA Compliance, COBRA Administration, QMCSO Administration, Consolidated Billing, Eligibility Verification, and Fulfillment Services.  

The Operations Business Specialist is responsible for the centralized management of analysis and auditing activity in support of key Administrative Services customer goals and objectives. This role involves extensive interaction with key clients, intra- and inter-department peers, and leadership as it relates to systems engineering, product development, and process improvement. Analytical and consultative skills are critical to the success of this role.

Please Note:  Work location for this role is FLEXIBLE! This position allows 100% remote work from home or allows work to be performed in any of our major office locations with a hybrid schedule. 

The Contributions You’ll Make:

  • Responsible for having a general understanding of all incoming client, member or vendor cases and/or inquiries on a daily basis. 
  • Provide regular status updates for issues that cannot be resolved immediately via cases, phone and/or emails.  
  • Compile & maintain client-specific requirements, processes and procedures. 
  • Triage escalations from internal teams and/or clients directly. Responsible for root cause analysis as well as participation in resolution activities.   
  • Responsible for the overall project as it relates to the Admin Services Products, which includes the timeliness of the execution of the OE project.
  • Responsible for offboarding tasks for clients who terminate Admin Services Products with Benefitfocus. 
  • Coordinate with internal teams as appropriate with regard to tasks related to terminating products.  
  • Communicate with vendor(s) and follow procedures for terminating client in vendor system. 
  • Supporting client with new TPA conversations. 
  • Providing all required offboarding timeline and documentation.

GENERAL: Additional responsibilities include:

  • Staying up to date on regulatory changes that impact our clients.
  • Product and release testing as it relates to clients within assigned market.
  • Process improvement – participate in and/or lead effort for various departmental process improvement initiatives.

Minimum Knowledge & Experience:

  • 5+ years’ experience in benefits administration.
  • Working knowledge of COBRA, Direct Billing, Consolidated Invoicing, and CDH programs.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products, (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Must have strong project management, relationship management, critical thinking, problem solving, and strategy skills.

Preferred Knowledge & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce preferred.
  • Related experience in benefits administration and/or benefits plan design.

Compensation Pay Disclosure:

Voya is committed to pay that’s fair and equitable, which means comparable pay for comparable roles and responsibilities.

The below annual base salary range reflects the expected hiring range(s) for this position in the location(s) listed. In addition to base salary, Voya may offer incentive opportunities (i.e., annual cash incentives, sales incentives, and/or long-term incentives) based on the role to reward the achievement of annual performance objectives. Please note that this salary information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within one of these locations, and refers to the amount Voya Financial is willing to pay at the time of this posting.

Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted salary range based upon the candidate’s geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based upon the agreed upon number of hours to be regularly worked.

$60,000-$75,000
