We are currently searching for a Budget Analyst. This position will include various duties, including formulation, execution, and reporting tasks. This is a remote opportunity located in Rockville, MD.

What You Will Do:

• Monitor and analyze funding plans and organization spending projections.

• Work with budget analysts to prepare the end-of-year reporting.

• Provide budgetary and financial management services.

• Provide detailed, comparative projections of financial data and spending plans.

• Monitor and analyze funding plans and organization spending projections; prepare justifications as needed.

• Prepare financial data summaries for inclusion in routine and special reports on budgetary issues.

• Perform detailed budget analysis on various budget categories and information submitted by the divisions and programs of the Institute.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree

• Knowledge of Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) policies and guidelines

• At least FOUR (4) years of Budget formulation, accounting, and financial analysis experience.

• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, specifically spreadsheet development and management.

• Knowledge of federal budgetary and accounting practices.

• SharePoint Experience

• Experience with Annual budget preparation and reconciliation, funds tracking, and auditing.

• Knowledge of standard accounting forms (Profit Loss, balance sheet)

• Advanced Presentation and writing skills.

• Experience with Account reconciliation and Fiscal year closeout.

• Knowledge of Data Analytics

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• Previous experience working with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) preferred.

The annual salary range for this position is $75,800.00-$113,600.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
