How will you make a difference?

As the Head of Product Management Brakes & Couplers (B&C), you will work with an interdisciplinary team of engineers, product designers, sales and marketing, operations and project managers to create the next generation of our brakes and couplers products. You ensure that our products do not react to market trends but set standards and continue to surprise and inspire our customers. Your fresh perspective and profound experience in product development will inspire your team to constantly challenge the status quo of our portfolio, benchmark with the competition, and deliver top performance.

Tell us about your experience in Product Management and the teams you’ve led so far. The following skills and characteristics are also essential for this role:

  • Leadership experience in industrial sectors (ideally railway or transportation) within an international environment, along with strong commercial acumen, business development expertise, and drive
  • Proven ability to successfully coordinate multidisciplinary, multicultural global teams
  • Strong strategic thinking and influencing skills to build impact both internally and externally
  • Demonstrated deep knowledge and leadership in sales & marketing and engineering.
  • Analytical and reasoning ability and good judgment for complex business decisions and strategic planning
  • Confirmed skills on communication and building network internally and in customer’s environments
  • Skills on Cost and Value analysis
  • Skills on Quality Problem Solving
  • Ability to travel as required
  • Fluent English mandatory, other European languages appreciated

What will your typical tasks look like?

  • Drive continuous improvement in the competitiveness of our products, working closely with Operations and sourcing focusing on areas such as LCC, RAMS, Engineering, manufacturing, methods, suppliers
  • Develop profitable business cases and product plans, overseeing the selection, definition, development, validation, scheduling, and market introduction of innovative products
  • Ensure that standard products are used in tenders and projects
  • Communicate the product vision, strategy and roadmap with key stakeholders across various functions
  • Establish and maintain strong relationship with sales, Engineering, technical product management, to align on strategy, foster innovation, and promote best practices
  • Collaborate closely with Services Product Management to develop and execute a bold, strategic global plan
