This role is structured as Chiswick Park with a fully remote working pattern, meaning you are remote based, but your office location is Chiswick Park where you will need to travel into for key business meetings.

What will this role achieve?

The UK Customer Team at pladis employs approximately 150 people across functions including account management, category management and customer marketing and is accountable for the delivery of the commercial budgets across the UK, split into three channels: Grocery; Convenience & Impulse; and Discounters

What will be your key deliverables?

  • Full ownership and accountability of B&M Biscuits & Snacks plus Poundland Snacks
  • Full P&L management including forecasting and delivery of monthly sales/profit targets
  • Management of one direct report with responsibility of Sales Operations for the total Discounter team
  • Focus on your direct reports targets and development
  • Build winning relationships with all Buyers and being able to handle combative conversations and turning them back to collaborative
  • Build a short and long term strategy to win in B&M on-boarding internal functions to ensure execution of winning growth and share plans for pladis
  • Implement the plan using negotiation skills, creativity and energy
  • Set high standards for internal reporting and performance reviews
  • Conduct store visits, reporting on pladis, competitor and adjacent categories to build winning plans

  • Proven experience in a customer facing role and handling tough conversations

  • Eye for detail to hold the customers to account vs internal forecasting
  • Desirable
  • Negotiation training & experience
  • Creative flare to turn challenges into opportunities
  • Branded experience (as opposed to Retailer Brand).

What will the interview process be?

  • 1st stage interview – 45 minutes competency-based interview based on our company values and your experiences.
  • 2nd stage interview – 60 minutes – a technical interview to understand your skill set/case study or presentation interview.

pladis does also use both Psychometric and Aptitude tests to support our processes so you may be asked to complete these as part of your process.
