Senior Project Manager - 12 month fixed term contract

  • 5+ years as Project Manager, with experience in technology transformation projects.
  • Take ownership for the end-to-end delivery of high priority, game changing, initiatives and make your mark quickly.
  • Hybrid, flexible working with two to three team connect days in the office per week.

Write your story with Zip

As a Senior Project Manager you’ll join our highly collaborative and outcome-centric Delivery team, supporting delivery for some of the highest-priority initiatives for Zip’s Product and Engineering function.

As a first of its kind role at Zip, this Senior Project Manager role offers a new and exciting opportunity for you to shape the way we lead large scale project initiatives at Zip.

The first major project that you will support as part of our three year technology roadmap, is the uplift of our Loan Management system as we transition to a new SaaS platform. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a transformative initiative that will significantly impact our business.

You’ll partner with multiple squads to ensure the successful delivery of our LMS transition. You’ll also work closely with a senior leadership team across product, design and engineering - as we continue to evolve our product suite in ANZ, this role is key to managing complexity and ensuring alignment.

What you’ll own

  • Develop a cohesive and comprehensive project plan for our LMS transformation
  • End to end planning, execution and successful delivery of our loan management system replacement.
  • Work closely with the technical team to define system requirements, design solutions, and oversee technical implementation.
  • Manage all aspects of the project lifecycle from initial requirements gathering to final system implementation.
  • Support a wide range of stakeholders to encourage user adoption and benefits realisation.
  • Develop and run training for end users throughout the transitionary period.
  • Risk management and risk focussed mindset, spot potential blockers and hurdles to overcome them preemptively.

What you’ll bring to the team

  • Experience project managing large scale, technically complex projects, within a financial services environment.
  • Exposure to loan management systems or similar systems is preferred
  • Excellent communication, ability to work with a range of stakeholders at all levels
  • PMP or equivalent qualification would be great!
  • An aptitude for identifying and managing risks. Whether you are a People Manager or an Individual Contributor, we are all leaders at Zip, therefore effective risk management is important to how we run our business and part of all our roles.
  • Our values in your DNA: Customer First, Own It, Stronger Together and Change the Game

What you’ll get in return

As we write this next exciting chapter in our story, we will continue to move at pace and embrace change. For you, this might mean opportunities to learn new skills with hands-on experience, broader responsibilities, or the buzz of seeing your work impact customers faster.

Zip is a place where you’ll get out exactly what you put in. When you join the team, we'll do our best to make sure you can be yourself and surround yourself with smart, friendly colleagues and leaders who have your back, so that you can make the big things happen.

Zipsters tell us these are just some of the best things about working here. You’ll also receive:

  • 25 days paid leave annually, including birthday leave and quarterly wellbeing days
  • 16 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers, and 4 weeks for supporting carers
  • Family support policies including miscarriage bereavement leave and domestic violence leave
  • Mental health and wellness initiatives, including $299 annual wellbeing allowance, free access for you and family members to our EAP service Sonder, discounted private health insurance, and great rates on fitness sessions through ClassPass
  • 2 days paid volunteering leave per year
  • Fee-free Zip products, and discounts with Zip merchant partners.
  • Team social events, epic offices, free breakfast daily, and weekly free lunches.
