What you will do

Working within a lively Hospital environment, perform assigned Facility Maintenance tasks including scheduled preventative maintenance and unscheduled demand maintenance events.  Apply knowledge, skills and experience to work with the operations team and independently.  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receive, update and completed assigned preventative and demand maintenance works orders within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) QFM.
  • Respond to and resolve work you're doing in general facility services, equipment repair, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, painting and carpentry.
  • Source, plan and organized required tools and materials for day-to-day task and projects
  • Use building prints, schematics and other available documents while solving system failures and work requests.
  • Ability to operate a variety of hand tools and machines.
  • Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows all company policies.
  • This job will be for the satellite clinics  

What we look for

Required

  • Completion of a two-year technical degree or equivalent plus 5 years’ experience in a Facility Maintenance environment.
  • Working and operating knowledge of building systems including troubleshooting, repair and replacement etc.
  • Requires in-depth knowledge of various maintenance fundamentals sufficient to take care of service and repairs.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.  Ability to work independently on tasks and as part of a team.
  • Computers skills. Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Must be physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to: climb ladders, operate machinery, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
  • Must be able to work varying shifts (including night shifts), weekends and holidays on a rotational shift schedule.
  • Strong interpersonal and time leadership skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Perform other duties as the need arises

Preferred

  • Experience working in a health care setting
  • Experience with painting and interior finish work
  • Experience with wheeled equipment repair and maintenance

Pay Range: Hourly rate determined by the CBA/rate sheet.  Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
