Job Description Summary

               

Provides leadership, establishment of Lamb Weston procedures and management of Food Protection and Safety. Functions as the key Lamb Weston Delhi plant leader in implementing a food protection strategy and compliance for overall improvement through specific goals and objectives set for food safety, and sanitation. Collaborates with Production, Maintenance, QA and all other functions at the plant to build sustainable food defense strategies.

Job Description

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads corrective actions and follow-up.
  • Leads foreign material review.
  • Leads GMP compliance and review.
  • Manages and directs the Team Leader Sanitation and maintains focus on Continuous Improvement
  • Responsible for Sanitation Effectiveness and Environmental Monitoring Programs results and corrective actions
  • Lead product micro review and release.
  • Leads OPP review
  • Responsible for HACCP compliance.
  • Responsible for Food Defense.
  • Responsible for pest control.
  • Responsible for equipment inspections and documentation of sanitation activity.  For example; belt inspections.
  • Leads continuous improvement projects to build sustainable systems to protect food.
  • Ensures seamless exchange of technical and product information between plant-level departments.
  • Performs food safety engineering review of sanitary design documentation for compliance with stated requirement
  • Communicates with Corporate on all issues concerning Food Safety.
  • Maintains knowledge of industry trends and developments.

Position Requirements:

  • BS in Food Science or related field preferred.  
  • Minimum 7 years of food industrial experience in Production and/or in Quality Assurance,
  • PCQI, internal auditing, FSVP, and GFSI training are highly desired.
  • Excellent report writing, interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated management experience with direct reports.
  • Knowledge of food safety including FSMA, food manufacturing processes, technologies or other relevant areas of responsibility.
  • Exceptional understanding of food safety.
  • Knowledge in using a full range of statistical and analytical tools and fundamentals.
  • Exceptional relationship skills to achieve strong partnership and collaboration, both internally and externally.

This compensation is specific to this position and takes into account a number of variables. Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range posted based on various factors, including, but not limited to, job duties, experience and expertise. A candidate’s work location could also impact the actual compensation being outside of the range to reflect local cost of labor. A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $88,890.00 - $133,340.00
