Start Date: September 2025.

Location: Anngrove, Carrigtwohill, Cork.

The “AO Global Engineering Development Programme” is a 20-month structured programme that provides participants the opportunity to be part of a global team, with exposure to cutting edge technology varying from traditional manufacturing processes to additive manufacturing and Robotics, as well as interactions with market leading Research & Development (R&D) and marketing teams from across the 9 Stryker divisions. The programme focuses on developing the skillset, mindset and toolkit of each participant to enable them for success within Advanced Operations to support our wider business to be successful.

During each rotational assignment participants will be responsible for:

  • Participating in various project teams.
  • Work with a highly creative design team to invent and develop innovative new product concepts.
  • Investigation, design, development and implementation of new manufacturing processes and technology.
  • Handover of new processes from development to production.
  • Implement quality systems and work closely with Design, Quality and Manufacturing Engineering.
  • Provide process validation support both internally and with vendors.
  • Develop and qualify new test equipment and methods.
  • Research, specify and qualify new test or prototyping equipment.
  • Participate in various trainings to develop your skillset, mindset and toolkit.

What You Need?

  • Candidates must have already attained or be on course to attain a 2.1 result in a Level 8 or above Mechanical/ Manufacturing/ Biomedical/ Electrical/ Electronic/ Software/ Digital / BIS/ Project Management Discipline-Based Degree.
  • Candidates must have/will have attained the above between June 2023 and Sept 2025.
  • Self-starter with demonstrated efficient work methods, analytical & problem-solving skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • The individual should enjoy working in a fast paced, dynamic and results orientated team environment.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively work cross-functionally and with global teams.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, product, and process design.
