About This Opportunity 

The Senior Business System Analyst undertakes business analysis activities to identify, define and convert business requirements into strategic system designs for large ERP systems at the University of Queensland, considering the wider enterprise applications portfolio. The role is a senior escalation point within the team, supporting other team members in delivering services.

Key responsibilities will include: 

  • Enforce robust cybersecurity practices in alignment with UQ's Cyber Security Policy, ensuring compliance with established procedures and standards.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to analyse business processes, identify needs, and propose innovative solutions for process improvement.

  • Evaluate feasibility and recommend solutions, translating business needs into system specifications while adhering to standards.

  • Lead functional delivery, provide senior technical advice, and contribute to business cases, maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.

About You  

  • Possess postgraduate qualifications in IT, business, or a related field, or demonstrate significant progress towards such qualifications, coupled with extensive relevant experience. An equivalent combination of experience and education/training will also be considered.

  • Demonstrate significant hands-on experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions applications.

  • Showcase substantial experience in business analysis and requirements gathering across ERP platforms. Proven ability to collaborate with stakeholders, conduct analysis, produce solution designs, and prioritize delivery in alignment with agreed service expectations.

  • Exhibit exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, including the capacity to conceptualize, establish, and implement new initiatives and innovative solutions. Strong written communication skills, with the ability to write clear and precise user and functional specifications. Additionally, possess strong interpersonal skills for effective mentoring, functional leadership, and communication with diverse stakeholders.
