As the Manager Regulatory Implementation and Support, you’ll be responsible for leading and managing the implementation and support of regulatory programs across all aspects of Qantas Engineering operations under CASA Parts 42, 21, 145 and 147. In this role, you will oversee the implementation and monitoring of key programs, provide airworthiness support to all Safety, Quality and Compliance functions across Qantas Engineering. This will include supporting all airworthiness, assurance, authorisation, investigation, training, regulatory compliance, risk and change work. In this role, you will lead a newly established team within the Compliance and Regulatory Business Unit of Qantas Engineering. As the leader of Senior Regulatory and Safety Specialists, you will foster strong, effective relationships with various stakeholders and serve as a subject matter expert on regulatory matters. 

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 10+ years experience in regulatory, safety or compliance roles ideally within engineering
  • Extensive knowledge in CASA regulations Part 21, 42, 145, and 147
  • Sound knowledge of the Aviation Regulatory Framework is essential
  • Professional aviation management or safety qualifications, including Lead Auditor is highly regarded
  • Proven ability to lead a team across multiple projects or programs, overseeing deliverables, coaching to outcomes, and ensuring best practices
  • High levels of strategic thinking and demonstrated capability working in complex systems
  • Superior time management and organizational skills with the ability to work across multiple complex tasks concurrently and deliver quality output
  • Strong networking, relationship building and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence and lead change without authority
