About This Opportunity 

The Senior Manager, Program Capital will provide financial assurance across all Capex and Project Opex expenditure within the Property and Facilities division.

This role will ensure that project financial reporting and management of the annual capital forecast across the program of projects within UQ Property and Facilities is expertly managed, driving best value for the University. In this role you will participate within regular project reviews and ensure that cost reporting is managed through UQ’s cost reporting software.

The role will require collaboration with the Property and Facilities management team to ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within budget and in line with UQ’s strategic objectives.

About You

Demonstrated experience in commercial due diligence, cost estimation, project and cost control management, and the management of risk and opportunity within the construction or property development sector. Ideally, you will have worked in a large, complex organisation with experience in financial management for medium to large-scale projects, including budgeting, financial reporting, and data analysis. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, along with advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and reporting software. High-level interpersonal, liaison, and negotiation skills are crucial, with a proven track record of building and maintaining effective working relationships.

The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and criminal check.
