The Opportunity:

This is a future opening for a forecasted vacancy. As a Government Financial Systems Analyst typically include:

  • Resolve user issues in Momentum as they arrive to the ticket management system.

  • asks include, but are not limited to:

  • Researching, testing and providing solutions to issues submitted by end users.

  • Identify software defects, risks and communicate them appropriately.

  • Monitor shared inbox and complete requests to create forms and update documents in SharePoint.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with financial system experts on new and innovative projects and systems.

  • Provide front-line professional support to 9,000+ users of electronic forms.

  • Analyze and resolve system-related issues and questions.

  • Assist team members in analyzing system effectiveness, and provide recommendations for improvements.

  • Identify system bugs and report them to be fixed.

  • Test new enhancements and bug fixes.

  • Develop/update user procedure guides.

  • Identify training topics and curriculum.

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • BA/BS or equivalent, 5+ years applicable experience

  • Experience with Government financial and accounting systems and processes

  • Customer service skills, and experience with user support

  • Experience as a systems analyst, including requirements, testing, and procedures

  • Experience writing user/procedural material and responding to users clearly and succinctly

  • Multi-tasking skills, and comfort in working independently

  • Interpersonal skills, and the ability to communicate with tact and professionalism

  • Ability to analyze problems, develop a path toward problem solving, and continue the process to completion

  • Effective planning and organizational skills, and ability to be flexible in a rapidly changing environment

Desired:

  • Momentum or UFMS financials experience is highly desired.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$78,700 - $165,300
