In this role, you will provide Specialist Matter Expertise within the Projects Organization, in support of Liquids Pipelines & Gas Transmission & Midstream’ s Asset Investment Planning & Management (AIPM) processes. This includes acting as a key point of contact and liaison with all areas of the Projects organization by understanding portfolio performance and supporting AIPM and internal partners throughout the lifecycle.

What you will Do:

  • Coordinate the annual budget and long-range plan inputs from business units into the Projects (Core Programs) organization.

  • Provide guidance and support to AIPM and Projects teams on portfolio headwinds and tailwinds threatening the execution of projects.

  • Perform risk analysis to model potential likelihoods and outcomes of portfolios for informed decision making.

  • Make recommendations on portfolio rebalances that enable the organization to enhance capital spend.

  • Provide guidance and support to project teams for timely setup and integration of new projects into reporting.

  • Coordinate optimization and rebalancing exercises within the Projects organization in support of business unit processes.

  • Analyze fiscal performance and deliver key performance indicators and asset-based results of portfolio status to Core Programs and Projects organization leadership.

  • Lead and coordinate dialogue with business unit customers on what Projects is doing to become more efficient and predictable on projects.
     

Who you are:

  • Related university degree, diploma or related construction or operational training and experience. 

  • Minimum 7 years of experience. Note candidate who do not possess a degree, require an additional 3 years of experience.

  • Proven interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. This includes the ability to develop collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners.

  • Proven experience in leading and portfolios that are strategic and transformative in nature, including core process implementations, software integrations, etc. Demonstrated ability to develop recommendations that provide the basis for making critical business decisions.

  • Ability to plan, prioritize, and facilitate large groups in development of long-range asset investment plans that drive business performance.

  • Broad business and technical knowledge, coupled with an ability to integrate and convey highly technical information in a way that others are able to understand and operationalize.

Physical Requirements include but are not limited to:

Grasping, kneeling, light – moderate lifting (objects up to 20 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, typing, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement and the ability to sit at a computer for long periods of time.

Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
