What you will do

The Global Product Manager for Digital Security Services will play a key role within the Global Lifecycle Solutions team by leading the company’s development of our Connected Security services on a global scale. They will create a vision and roadmap for the expansion of this service through new capabilities and entry into new markets, differentiating Johnson Controls’ solutions business while supporting global commercial intensity.

Working within a heavily matrixed organization, the Global Product Manager will leverage the company’s milestone review process (RCLP / Rapid Closed Loop Process) to champion synergy across all necessary functions, including: commercial, marketing, central operations, service, installation, legal, finance, and engineering.  

How you will do it

  • Drive the milestone process (RCLP) and secure business buy-in throughout the development and deployment of initiatives.

  • Define and scale proposed service delivery models through various installation and service resources.

  • Influence market requirements for product development efforts and steer these efforts through ongoing support to NPI planning goals and Engineering sprint reviews.

  • Negotiate product backlog and dependencies with other teams (both internal and external) when necessary.

  • Partner with Product Marketing resources to build and maintain customer-facing collateral that supports the program, serving as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) to represent the voice of the customer during this process.

  • Collaborate with the Commercial team to define Go-To-Market (GTM) motions and associated measurement KPIs.

  • Evangelize the product offering with front-line sellers, sales enablement resources, and customers.

  • Represent the product line in business reviews, monitor performance, and drive continuous improvements and enablement throughout the product lifecycle.

What We Look For

Required:

  • Minimum of 10 years total experience, with at least 5 years within the Security industry.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.

  • Direct experience in Product Management and commercial sales or marketing is required.

  • A hands-on style, adept at public speaking, negotiation, influencing, and customer-facing presentations.

  • Ability to provide leadership without a direct reporting structure

  • Comfort and experience presenting “upward” within the organization to manage expectations and maintain focus on initiatives.

  • Resilience in the face of change, with the ability to adapt and learn on your feet.

Additional Information:

  • This role will be 100% remote but is expected to be located within the United States. Candidates may choose to work out of any regional JCI office or from their home office at their discretion.

  • Ability to travel up to 15% for customer meetings, trade shows, and other company events.
