Engineering Program Manager- Product 

 

Why We Have This Role

As a Principal Technical Program Manager you will partner with the Product Management organization to transform and evolve product development. You will analyze and seek to understand current processes, identify opportunities, prioritize change, and execute on those ideas to create broad and deep impact in the software development process. You will make product management more efficient and effective. You will also partner with product management leaders and  teams across the company to identify, design, and lead change initiatives. You will be a primary leverage point and change driver in product development processes and artifacts.

 

How You’ll Find Success

  • Understanding Product Management and the Product Development Lifecycle inside and out.
  • Effectively collaborating and building trust with senior leaders, including C-suite executives, across technical and non-technical teams.
  • Taking initiative to proactively identify opportunities, understanding and articulating the expected outcomes, and working to drive results.
  • Setting and instrumenting metrics-based goals to demonstrate impact.
  • Building mechanisms to increase quality and transparency in product management processes while simultaneously decreasing friction in the system.
  • Nurturing high-trust relationships with Product leadership.
  • Leveraging improved processes to create scaled impact across all of product development.

 

How You’ll Grow

  • As you develop a deep understanding of the Qualtrics product development lifecycle you will become a strategic thought partner for our Product, Engineering, and UX organization and directly influence how long-term priorities and investments are prioritized and executed.
  • As you build strong relationships with senior leaders and executives across the company you will become an influential partner for company-level decisions, especially as part of our annual planning and budgeting processes.
  • As the company grows and our product portfolio expands, your scope of influence and expertise will naturally grow to match.

 

Things You’ll Do 

  • Analyze gaps and points of friction in product management
  • Create quantitative goals based on your research
  • Invent and evolve document templates and processes
  • Improve our product prioritization decisions and the transparency of those choices
  • Increase the rate of innovation by smoothing product ideation and idea documentation

 

What We're Looking For On Your Resume

  • 8+ years of experience in product management or technical program management (or similar)
  • Experience using data to identify, define, and measure the success of initiatives.
  • Experience orchestrating, managing, and successfully delivering large scale cross-functional initiatives 
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver projects with multiple dependencies and constraints
  • Ability to communicate effectively and establish credibility with technical and non-technical stakeholders including executive staff
  • Proven ability to improve process to create higher quality, lower friction results for company-wide metrics across many functions

For full-time positions, this pay range is for base per year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, education, skills, and experience. A sign-on bonus and restricted stock units may be included in an employment offer, in addition to a range of medical, financial, and other benefits, based on eligibility criteria.
