What you will do

The Associate Project Manager is responsible for furthering process, project and portfolio excellence across the Global Compliance and Privacy department. This position will be in the Global Compliance & Privacy (GCP) Project Management Office, reporting to the Sr. Director/Director, GCP PMO. In this dual project and process role, they support the department to enable positive business results while managing risk cross-functionally.

The Associate Project Manager leads small-scale projects, develops and maintains project analytics and tools, and supports large-scale projects by leading workstreams. They also arrange meetings, develop agendas, take minutes, and track tasks.

The Associate Project Manager analyzes Compliance and Privacy processes, identifies opportunities for improvement, and develops optimized solutions globally. They lead change initiatives, engage stakeholders, and ensure effective implementation. This role facilitates daily huddles, improvement workshops, creates process documentation, and coordinates team efforts for collaboration.

This is a remote role, preferred locations are NJ, NY and PA

Project Management

  • Manage projects to achieve GCP's strategic objectives, driving process improvements, business transformations, and technology innovations.

  • Develop and maintain project infrastructure, including project charters, plans, schedules, governance models, resource registers, budgets, RAID logs, and communication plans.

  • Gather and incorporate stakeholder feedback efficiently throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Support resourcing allocation in program plans and assist with program gating processes.

  • Organize and facilitate project-related activities such as kick-offs, meetings, workshops, decision-making processes, communications, and stage gate reviews.

  • Assist in developing risk management plans, actively identifying, analyzing, and monitoring risks and issues, and implementing mitigation strategies.

  • Engage with project stakeholders, including sponsors, owners, managers, and external partners, ensuring alignment with organizational strategic goals.

  • Develop improvement projects and ideas for processes. Engage cross-functionally to collect business requirements and convert into executable plans of action and processes.

  • Perform end-to-end process mapping to identify standardization and risk mitigation opportunities.

PMO and Program Support

  • Enhance the PMO function by developing project resources, tools, templates, systems, and governance to deliver predictable, sustainable projects.

  • Manage a portfolio of projects through monitoring, governance and metrics to measure success

  • Support the PMO's project methodology by mentoring colleagues on project approaches, tools, and resources to enhance organizational project management skills and outcomes.

  • Identify opportunities to contribute to other projects or programs to increase efficiency.

  • Implement project management best practices globally within the Compliance department.

  • Incorporate end-user feedback to refine project scope throughout the lifecycle and effectively communicate changes to stakeholders.

What you need

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 6+ years of work experience required

  • 2+ years of experience working in a highly regulated industry such as MedTech, FinTech, Pharmaceuticals.

  • 2+Experience in project management. PMP/CAPM certification is a plus.

  • Experience in process mapping or Lean Six Sigma certification is preferred

$85,500 - $182,100 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.
