Customer Service Representative

Pay Range: $19-$23/hr

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet clients warmly in person and over the phone, ensuring a positive and professional experience.

  • Schedule appointments efficiently and according to medical urgency and staff availability.

  • Answer questions regarding services, hospital policies, and general pet care inquiries.

  • Collect and accurately input patient and client information into the practice management system.

  • Confirm upcoming appointments and follow up with clients as needed.

  • Process invoices and collect payments using various methods (cash, credit, CareCredit, etc.).

  • Communicate effectively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff to coordinate patient care.

  • Maintain a clean and welcoming reception area.

  • Handle difficult or emotional client interactions with empathy and discretion.

  • Maintain confidentiality of patient and client records in accordance with practice policies and legal requirements.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Prior experience in customer service required; veterinary or medical experience preferred.

  • Proficiency with computers and common practice management software (e.g., AVImark, Cornerstone, ezyVet) is a plus.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strong multitasking ability and attention to detail.

  • Compassion for animals and empathy for their owners.

  • Ability to remain calm and organized in stressful situations.
