Job Title:

Associate Director - Facilities Operations-Facilities Services

Job Summary:

Plan, direct, coordinate and manage the daily operations and employees of Facilities Services Operations. Assist in the delivery of facilities services for all of UMMC campus.

Education & Experience

Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or related field and eight (8) years of related experience. Prior healthcare and leadership experience preferred.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of state procurement procedures, including managing RFP’s and having the ability to structure/negotiate contracts and purchase requisitions. Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques and tools. Knowledge of performance management process and associated local, state, federal and regulatory requirements. Knowledge of polices and procedures, protocols, and program controls. Verbal and written communication skills. Interpersonal skills; Proficiency in using analysis tools and software such as excel and other Microsoft programs.


Responsibilities

  • Administers and oversees a variety of Facilities Services such as fleet management, parking and transportation services, and contract/ vendor management.
  • Monitors and manages departmental budgets.
  • Provides leadership to assure compliance with regulatory standards, policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of short and long-range Facilities Services goals, objectives, strategic plans, policies and operating procedures; monitors and evaluates programmatic and operational effectiveness and implement improvements as required.
  • Supervises direct reports to include work allocation, training, evaluation, and problem resolution.
  • Establishes and maintains procurement requirements and project controls for all service and construction contracts managed by the department.
  • Performs administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, applying expenditures, enforcing rules and making decisions regarding the purchase of materials and services.
  • Coordinates with other associate directors to meet the needs of Facilities Services.      
  • Responsible for ensuring the maintenance and application of program standard contract exhibits. Review, analyze, and approve specific contractor/vendor deliverables. Serves as UMMC’s liaison with contract vendors.
