Key Responsibilities
Customer Engagement
- Engage with prospective and existing clients to understand business and technical requirements and demonstrate how FIS Enterprise Payments solutions meet their needs
- Identify risks, gaps, or misalignment and provide clear, timely responses to technical and functional queries
- Gather and analyse information to develop a deep understanding of customer technology landscapes
Demonstrations & Presentations
- Deliver product demonstrations, presentations, and workshops (virtual and on‑site) showcasing solution capabilities and architecture
- Use tools such as PowerPoint, Visio, and FIS internal VTK to support effective storytelling
RFI / RFP Management
- Lead and contribute to RFI and RFP responses, providing detailed technical input across non‑functional areas including:
- Integration and APIs
- Security and authentication
- High availability and disaster recovery
- Monitoring and observability
- Third‑party tooling and roadmaps
- Payments regulation and compliance
Documentation
- Develop and maintain high‑quality pre‑sales materials, including presentations, technical specifications, and solution documentation
Collaboration
- Work closely with sales, product, and engineering teams to ensure alignment and successful customer outcomes
- Gather and synthesise information from internal stakeholders to understand current product capabilities and future direction
Solution Design
- Partner with product and functional pre‑sales colleagues to design and present cohesive, end‑to‑end payment solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements
Technical Requirements & Project Support
- Support Professional Services engagements, including leading Project Definition Study (PDS) workshops and producing supporting documentation
Proofs of Concept (POCs)
- Plan, design, and coordinate POCs, enabling customers to evaluate products within their own environments
Technical Enablement
- Provide pre‑sales technical support and guidance to sales teams and customers globally
- Deliver internal enablement and training on product features, technical architecture, and competitive positioning
Required Expertise
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of payments; familiarity with FIS Enterprise Payments products is advantageous
- Awareness of current and emerging payments and financial‑services technologies
- Hands‑on experience or strong working knowledge of:
- Kubernetes
- Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL)
- Kafka
- REST APIs
- OpenID Connect (OIDC)
- Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, IBM Cloud, Oracle Cloud)
- Messaging (MQ)
- SIEM tooling (e.g. Splunk)
General Experience
- Proven experience in customer‑facing technical or pre‑sales roles
- Confident delivering demos and presentations to large audiences, both in person and virtually
- Strong track record responding to complex RFIs and RFPs
- Ability to extract and document technical and business requirements from client conversations
- Experience producing detailed technical documentation and proposal content
- Participation in large‑scale, complex implementations and solution design initiatives
