Summary of our opportunity

ICG is one of the leading investment managers in the US CLO/CDO sector and European Liquid funds space and currently manages over €10bn assets across 20+ transactions.

The Liquid Funds Administration Team is responsible for the tracking of the funds’ investments and ensuring that the investors and portfolio managers have accurate and timely portfolio reports, as well as various bespoke reports sent directly to investors. The team is also responsible for the documentation of trade settlement and deals extensively with third party administrators and custodians.

The current vacancy’s reporting lines would be to the Head of Liquid Credit Administration. The role would suit an individual who has had some exposure to either the high yield bond or leveraged loan markets and is looking to progress in the liquid funds sector.

Primary responsibilities for this role include (but are not limited to):

  • Work with Global administration on cash management and the production of internal cash reports for portfolio managers.
  • Assess the impact of traded cash positions on the overall liquidity and risk profile of the fund, implementing strategies to mitigate any potential risks.
  • Liaise with external agent banks and trustees on cash breaks and ensure that cash receipts match accruals and investigate discrepancies.
  • 3rd Party Administrator and Middle Office relationship management.
  • Assist the client relations team with data requests or technical assistance.
  • Ensure that all reports are accurate and delivered on time to support the decision-making process of portfolio managers.
  • Collaborate with the MCR, Legal, Settlement, and Portfolio Management teams.

Key Requirements/ Qualifications

You will have demonstrable experience of: 

Essential

  • Experience in investor reporting in open-ended funds.
  • Some understanding of performance measurement and the data required for such calculations.
  • A basic understanding of currency hedging.
  • 2 years relevant experience in the settlements, fixed income assets or alternative credit products e.g. credit derivatives, leverage loans, CLOs or ABS.

Desirable

  • Educated to degree level (with relevant degree)
  • Sound math skills including the ability to check calculations on interest payments and foreign exchange conversions.
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail while working to meet strict deadlines.
  • Ability to resolve queries and deal with third-party administrators and custodians professionally.
  • Understanding of different fund structures including unit trusts, CLOs or other frequent dealing platforms.
