Finance Manager-Corporate FP&A-Carmel, IN (Hybrid)
(Candidate will work 4 days a week in the Carmel Office and 1 day a week in a home office. Flexible on the day that they work from a home office)
As a Finance Manager, you act as a Strategic Finance Business Partner to Executive Leaders of Allegion’s Corporate Functions. This will involve working closely with functional leaders and other key stakeholders to develop and implement financial strategies that support the overall goals of the organization. Our team’s goal is to provide financial information in an easy-to-understand format to allow for efficient decision making and insights. We execute on this goal by developing processes which provide consistent, insightful, and digestible data.
What You Will Do:
Business Partnership & Collaboration:
Partnering with Executive Leadership to develop forecast, budgets and long-range plans for multiple functional areas (i.e., IT, Engineering, Legal, Allegion Ventures, etc.)
Developing relationships across functions and serving as a liaison between finance and business partners
Working closely with other finance business partners to ensure alignment and coordination across the organization
Forecasting, Planning, Reporting and Analysis
Providing financial analysis and reporting to support decision-making
Responsible for the accuracy of financial reporting across Corporate functions during monthly close process and driving forecast accuracy of at least 95%
Supporting the development and implementation of long-term financial plans for Corporate functions
Developing processes to streamline forecasting and month end close for Corporate functions
Ad Hoc Support
Managing capital projects and developing processes to streamline analysis and insights (i.e., ERP implementations, infrastructure upgrades, etc.)
Opportunities to support enterprise-wide initiatives (i.e., cloud spend reporting and governance, M&A integration activities, etc.)
Opportunities to support quarterly earnings preparations as well as provide support to our Investor Relations efforts
Opportunities to support the development and implementation of various applications that drive Allegion’s finance organization forward on their technology road map
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in finance, as well as experience partnering with functions outside of finance. You should be a strategic thinker with excellent analytical skills and be able to communicate complex financial information in a clear and concise manner. Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills are also essential, as you will be working closely with a wide range of stakeholders to drive financial success for the organization.
What You Will Need to Succeed:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting required
A good understanding of financial statements and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles is required
CPA, CMA or MBA preferred
Experience with some of the following is preferred: Microsoft Power Suite, including Power Query and Power BI
Experience with Hyperion Suite (Planning, HFM, Essbase) or similar CPM/EPM application (i.e. OneStream, Anaplan, Planful)
6 to 8 years accounting/finance experience required. Manufacturing environment preferred
Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically, understand the vision of the organization, and turn information into effective strategies to drive business performance
Strong verbal and written communication skills for interactions with senior/executive management.
Must work closely and build strong, productive relationships with all levels of management, many different functions, and be comfortable and effective working with executive leadership.
Possess excellent organization and time management skills to be able to handle several assignments at one time and work in a matrix organization.
Passion for continuous improvement
Ability to influence across the organization at senior levels to become a proactive, trusted advisor and thought leader on strategic issues to drive results
Minimal travel maybe required
