About the role:
Supervises all manufacturing activities for the product assigned to their shift. Responsible for the effectiveness of the personnel under their charge, the equipment, work tools, and materials, as well as compliance with basic safety requirements, discipline, and product quality. Ensures adherence to the company’s established norms and systems, keeping Manufacturing/Operations Management informed of all incidents, both operational and personnel-related.


 

Your key duties and responsibilities:

  • Manages all equipment, materials, and human resources assigned to their production lines during their shift.
  • Directly supervises Operators, Group Leaders, Administrative Technicians, Operational Technicians, Material Handlers, and Label Room Attendants.
  • Coordinates and directs activities to maintain the quality and quantity of assigned or produced work in compliance with regulations and policies.
  • Ensures effective utilization of materials for production.
  • Continuously reviews processes to ensure compliance with all procedures.
  • Guarantees employee training in current product procedures and specifications.
  • Instructs, assists, and informs employees about company-related information as needed.
  • Effectively manages production schedule rotations.
  • Regularly ensures productivity in their production lines.
  • Analyzes material variance reports and labor efficiency for improvement projects.
  • Initiates the production cycle, ensuring products meet specifications.
  • Supervises adherence to good manufacturing practices, equipment cleanliness, and product integrity.
  • Coordinates production start-ups with support departments.
  • Ensures proper functioning of machines and auxiliary equipment, notifying the relevant department in case of failures or damage.
  • Proposes or initiates motivational plans for employees to meet departmental goals.
  • Identifies training needs for employee development.
  • Recommends hiring, promotions, transfers, evaluations, or disciplinary actions based on company policies.
  • Follows company rules for good conduct.
  • Ensures an organized and safe work environment.
  • Completes additional instructions assigned by their immediate supervisor.

Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s or Engineering degree (preferably Industrial Engineering).
  • 2-3 years of manufacturing experience in the medical device industry.
  • Formal training in Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Proficiency in Excel and English preferred.
  • Strong communication skills and proactive leadership.
  • Problem detection, solution implementation, and follow-up capabilities.
  • Ability to make timely decisions that enhance productivity.

Qualifications/Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Engineering degree in Industrial Engineering or related field.
  • Training in GMP.
  • Proficiency in English and Excel.

Travel Requirements:

  • No travel scheduled planned, only ad-hoc.

Working Conditions:

  • Know CVT's EHS and OH policies and the standards that support them.
  • Understand EHS risks and all requirements related to their job responsibilities and the appropriate controls in place to manage those risks and requirements.
  • Execute their job responsibilities professionally and in compliance with internal EHS requirements and procedures without compromising the safety of themselves or others.
  • Be alert to EHS hazards in the workplace, responding to them in an appropriate manner and communicating them immediately to responsible management as soon as they are identified (e.g., spills).
  • Participate in EHS awareness, training and community initiatives.
  • Help drive continuous improvement of EHS performance by recommending potential improvements to responsible management.
  • Role A, must be 100% on site to perform duties.
