Your role
The Assoc. Director Technology & Innovation will build and scale programs to strengthen the impact of Technology & GenAI in RWS operations. The ideal candidate is entrepreneurial, comfortable navigating ambiguous situations, able to facilitate our teams' best work by managing short- and long-term projects and initiatives, anticipating project issues and resolving them, connecting teams across IQVIA, and removing barriers to doing great work. This role requires project and program management experience and broad knowledge of artificial intelligence, clinical research, and product development. Communication skills, stakeholder management, the ability to manage complex logistics, and an organized approach are mandatory.
This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.

Responsibilities
•    Define and lead program execution strategy for RWS Copilot Program
•    Build strategic capabilities (e.g., data-driven processes, frameworks, analytical tools, etc.) to identify and prioritize opportunities to accelerate Copilot adoption
•    Proactively manage expectations: define clear program roadmaps, provide frequent program updates to partners and stakeholders, including leadership, identify and communicate risks and adjustments, and ensure commitments are delivered
•    Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including other business units to deliver high-quality Gen AI solutions that meet customer and regulatory requirements
•    Identify and mitigate risks, and develop contingency plans as needed
•    Contribute to developing the RWS GenAI Program - Support the identification and prioritization of new Gen AI use cases and opportunities and contribute to the development of disruptive Gen AI offerings and strategies.
•    Define and manage technology adoption initiatives that improve team efficiency and impact, establishing operational systems and outcomes
•    Manage project timelines and ensure that projects are delivered on time and within budget
•    Work with a cross-functional team to explore, develop, optimize, test, and implement robust, scalable and maintainable solutions
•    Remain informed of industry trends in GenAI and new techniques, adapting and borrowing from best practice as required to ensure implementation of innovative and fit-for-purpose solutions 
•    Manage and cultivate relationships with technology partners
•    Provide advice, support and guidance as needed to serve as mentor to colleagues

Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
•    Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering, life sciences, or related field.
•    Minimum 7 years of experience in project or program management, preferably in clinical research and development or healthcare IT.
•    Proven track record of delivering complex and innovative solutions that leverage technology
•    Strong knowledge and understanding of Gen AI technologies, applications, and challenges, especially in the healthcare and life sciences context.
•    Strong communicator who knows how to translate analysis into business insights, and communicate objectives, plans, status and results clearly
•    Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to handle ambiguity and uncertainty.
•    Highly collaborative, adaptable, and customer-oriented, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed and dynamic environment.
•    Demonstrates strong intellectual curiosity; always seeking new approaches and challenging the organization to new levels of success
•    Pharmaceutical, biotech or other regulated industry experience preferred
