Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Director of Business Insights & Analytics will lead a high performing team that will support the entire Ambient Network with data & visualization leadership. They will be essential to the modernization of the Ambient network by ensuring data accessibility and usability on NextGen platforms such as Symbotic, Hawkeye, Ignition, & Atlas.

Key responsibilities:

  • Accountable to lead, research and develop a broad data landscape for Supply Chain use
  • Accountable for the execution of multiple business plans and projects to meet customers and operational needs and create a crisper, formalized data layer and tools for field needs; communicating business plans and priorities; reporting on barriers and obstacles that impact performance.
  • Establish guidelines and protocols that govern the proliferation of data to ensure that data controls are enforced while simplifying access to data
  • Quickly develop the business knowledge required to be a credible thought partner and support the Supply Chain Ambient function and governance activities
  • Leads the planning and coordination of development of data assets and ensures integration into roadmap based on knowledge of long term needs of a complex data landscape.
  • “Help Smart People Build Cool Stuff” – Lead and foster the Ambient developer advocacy program by removing roadblocks and sharing knowledge. Facilitate workshops & learning events to upskill field talent.
  • Drive entrepreneurial and creative solutions to support frictionless & seamless access to data insights for field engineers through automation, process enhancements, analytics and AI solutions, and incorporation of existing and new data assets from disparate sources.
  • Establish guidelines and protocols that govern the proliferation of data to ensure that data controls are enforced while simplifying access to data
  • Work with E2E teams such as Data Enablement, Data Science, Data Analytics, Data Governance, Capacity Planning, Merch Ops, etc to collaborate ensuring respective roadmaps align with larger strategies.
  • Develop a deep understanding and alignment to the Data Governance program and policy requirements
  • Approve assets to be considered governed
  • Approve data sharing and access to data
  • Manage Ambient BIA product backlog.

Demonstrates awareness of technical topics at a conceptual level, as well as the systems and data that enable major capabilities and drives innovation.

Data Stewardship & Governance: Accountable for establishing, modifying, and documenting data governance strategies and initiatives. Provides guidance to business stakeholders, peers, and associates on the implementation of data governance practices. Educates others on roles and accountability for data management. Actively participates in external communities to grow and develop deeper understanding of policy and regulatory changes that may happen from a data perspective.

Applied Business Acumen: Accountable for evaluating proposed business cases for projects and initiatives. Influences business stakeholder decision making. Builds and articulates the business case and return on investment and delivers work that has demonstrable value. Accountable for development of new organization-wide processes and ways of working. Teaches and guides others on best practices.

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Minimum Qualifications...

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Statistics, Social Science, Communications, or related field and 6 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area OR 8 years’ experience in retail merchandising, operations management, or related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience
