As Senior Business Development Manager, reporting to our Senior Director of Global Markets and Export, you will be responsible for focused, strategic market expansion to identify and capitalize on growth pockets. Partner with Demand Science and Brand to identify growth sectors/regions, develop market expansion recommendation and business case, and communicate with leadership. Leverage growth potential of distributors/customers to invest and grow business. Lead strategic projects and develop partnerships. Manage customer relationships, develop go-to-market models and input to strategic planning required to deliver plan goals. Drive the forecasting process and ensure accuracy.

What You'll Do:

  • Assess distributor partners using established scorecards; recommend changes where needed.
  • Whitespace New Markets (post agreement /approval):
  • Prepare market entry plans using identified categories and assess distributors to determine most suitable candidate.
  • Launch selected range of Conagra products in market with the objective of achieving financial, market share, KPI's and volume objectives.
  • Deliver P&L goals for the region: Volume, Net Sales and Profit. Analyze important levers affecting P&L and recommend actions where needed.
  • Develop Joint Business Plans with all customers. Create regional/local plans where needed. Evaluate progress versus targets and recommend changes.
  • Meet previously aligned market prioritization and channel strategies. Evaluate and co-develop future strategies.
  • Create or use existing tools to measure the effectiveness of trade promotions.
  • Maintain pricing following guidelines. Prepare and maintain price ladders.
  • Conduct training programs to onboard distributor sales forces and support staff on product knowledge, merchandising and shelving standards.
  • Implement Conagra processes with distributors, such as secondary sales and distribution reporting, forecasting, trade tracking and reporting.
  • Manage all market related operational issues as they arise (e.g., pricing deals/promotions, allowances, customer set-ups, credit holds, product changes, contracts, A/R Issues, Deductions/Returns, changes in local regulations).
  • Maintain relationships with cross-functional partners (R&I, Brand, Legal, Supply Chain, Customer Service)
  • Conduct meetings and adjust messaging with varied audiences: distributor, broker, retailer
  • Global travel as needed, up to 50% at times

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 7+ years CPG sales experience
  • Market Entry experience and existing retailer relationships
  • Analytics experience to dive deep into distributor/company reports, country and brand P&L's
  • Global mindset with experience working across different time zones and cultures
  • Results oriented with experience in planning and operations

Number of Days in Office: 2-3
