Why this role is important?

We are hiring a Senior Analyst, Loyalty & Insights (Temporary Contract)

Reporting to the Senior Manager Loyalty & Consumer Insights, the Senior Analyst will play a key role in managing and developing our 1 to 1 PC Optimum promotional strategies for Shoppers Drug Mart & Joe Fresh.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop robust A/B testing strategy for 1 to 1 promotional campaign, and translate test results into operational targeting models
  • Develop customer segmentation and attribute models to help optimize and drive 1 to 1 marketing decisions
  • Present recommendations on 1 to 1 marketing strategy to senior leaders
  • Support marketing and digital teams on ad-hoc analysis and leverage customer data to deliver meaningful insights to drive business strategy
  • Synthesize large amounts of data from multiple sources, including customer transaction data, consumer & syndicated research, market share, and campaign results. Extrapolate and interpret appropriate information to deliver value add recommendations
  • Build SQL queries to retrieve data from data warehouse for various reporting, operational, and analytical needs

What You'll Need:

  • University degree in Business Analytics, Mathematics, Engineering, or Computer Science
  • Comfortable in SQL, and at least 1 general programming language (VBA or Python ideal)
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Excel
  • Demonstrated strong business and financial acumen
  • 2-3 years professional experience
  • Experience in Retail is an asset
